1. What ICYNM is
ICYNM ("In Case You Need Me") is a non-commercial, student-run platform built for college students. It is not a company, not a registered business, and not a commercial marketplace. No fees are collected by ICYNM from any transaction. The platform is provided free of charge as a peer-to-peer convenience tool for the campus community.
2. No liability for transactions
ICYNM does not participate in, broker, or guarantee any transaction between users. All agreements, payments, services, and exchanges are entirely between the individuals involved. ICYNM is not responsible for — and expressly disclaims all liability related to — any of the following:
- Scams, fraud, theft, or misrepresentation by any user
- Property damage arising from any service or exchange
- Personal injury or accident occurring during a meetup or job
- Disputes over payment, quality of work, or fulfillment of agreements
- Any loss, harm, or disappointment resulting from using the platform
Users are solely responsible for verifying the identity, qualifications, and reliability of anyone they contact through ICYNM before meeting in person or exchanging money.
3. Eligibility
ICYNM is intended for current students, faculty, and staff at accredited colleges and universities. By creating an account, you represent that you hold a valid .edu email address and that you will use the platform only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
You must be at least 18 years old to use ICYNM. If you are under 18, you may not create an account or engage in any transactions through the platform.
4. User responsibilities
By using ICYNM, you agree to:
- Post only accurate, truthful listings and requests
- Not use the platform for commercial advertising, spam, or recruiting
- Not post anything illegal, harassing, discriminatory, or deceptive
- Take reasonable precautions for your own safety when meeting others in person
- Honor commitments you make to other users
ICYNM reserves the right to remove any content or account that violates these principles.
5. No warranties
ICYNM is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind. We make no guarantee that the platform will be available, error-free, or secure at any given time. We may modify or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
6. Privacy
ICYNM collects only the information necessary to operate the platform: your .edu email address, display name, and the content you post. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data. Authentication is handled by Supabase. All stored data is associated with your .edu account.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from use of ICYNM shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Centre County, Pennsylvania.
