Built for students who meet in person.

ICYNM is a local marketplace where real people meet up on campus. These guidelines help keep every interaction safe and trustworthy.

Verified .edu only

Every account is tied to a verified .edu email address. No anonymous strangers — every user is a verified student or faculty member.

Ratings and reviews

After every completed job, both sides can leave a review. Reputation is visible on every profile — making it easy to spot reliable people.

💬

In-app messaging first

Keep your first conversations inside ICYNM. This creates a clear record of what was agreed — timing, price, and location — before you meet.

📍

Public meetup spots

Choose busy campus landmarks for first meetings: the HUB atrium, Pattee Library, or a dining commons. Avoid isolated locations you are not familiar with.

Good habits

A few simple rules go a long way.

1

Confirm before you meet

Always agree on the exact time, place, and price inside ICYNM messages before meeting in person. If something feels off, it is okay to cancel.

2

Check their profile

Look at ratings, completed jobs, and how long they have been on the platform. A solid track record is the best signal of a trustworthy person.

3

Keep payment simple and safe

Use Venmo, Zelle, or cash for payment — never wire transfers or gift cards. Agree on the amount before the job starts, not after.

4

Leave an honest review

Your review helps the whole community. If someone was great, say so. If something went wrong, report it clearly so others can make informed decisions.

5

Report concerns

If you encounter suspicious behavior, a scam attempt, or something that made you uncomfortable, reach out via the contact page. We take every report seriously.
